Four year letterwinner from 1967-70…At the time of his graduation he was the school record holder for career victories with a record of 90-19…Even now, almost 35 years later he is still in the top 20, sitting in 15th place on the Vikings all-time list…He had 37 career pins which is still fifth on the Augustana career list…Earned NCAA College Division All-American honors twice…He was third in the nation at 167 pounds in 1970 and was fifth at 167 in 1969…CCIW champion at 160 pounds in 1968 and at 167 in 1969…Selected as the Most Valuable Player in the CCIW in 1969…Undefeated at home during his career…Team captain as junior and senior…Twice he was named the Vikings’ team MVP…In 1970 he defeated both the Big 10 and Big 8 champion in his weight class…Winner of Knut Erickson Award that is presented each year to the senior, four-year athlete with the highest grade point average…NCAA Post Graduate Scholarship…Coached the Vikings from 1972 through 1975, leading the team to conference titles in 1974 and 1975…PERSONAL: Married to Cherie, who graduated from Augustana in 1982…The couple has daughter Kelley (9) and son Nathan (7)…Currently serves as president of Applied Marketing Technologies, College Marketing Technologies and K-12 Analytics, which is a group of market research firms that provide market segmentation research…Has worked last five (1999-03) Illinois High School state wrestling finals.
