Still listed in the school’s top 10 in two events, the 100 and 200 breaststroke…His time of 1:01.50 ranks second in the 100 while his clocking of 2:18.70 in the 200 is sixth…Four year letterwinner who helped Vikings win CCIW team championships in 1969, 70 and 71…Was a six time NAIA All-American: 1969 earning honors in the 100 and 200 breaststroke as well as the 400 medley relay…1970 in the 100 breaststroke and in 1971 in the 100 breaststroke and 400 medley relay…Won a total of nine CCIW titles (six individual and three relay) during his career…From 1969-71 he won the 100 and 200 breaststroke and swam on the victorious 400 medley relay in three straight CCIW championship meets…At time of graduation he held school records in 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke and 400 medley relay for 20 yard and 25 yard pools in all three events…PERSONAL: Married to Liz with three sons – Andy (24), Mike (22) and Chris (18)…He is an insurance underwriter at First Nonprofit Insurance Company…He participated in the Crystal Lake Team Triathlon in 1991 and 1992, winning his age division both times…Member of  Rockford’s “On the Waterfront” committee for 18 years…ROGER HALSTEAD ON HIS AUGUSTANA YEARS: “Best time I ever learned from.
