Chet Jacks was also a dual-sport athlete for basketball and track & field during his time at Augustana. Jacks is a member of the 1,000-point club with Augustana men's basketball, scoring 1,050 for his career for an average of 13.0 per outing in over 80 games played. He is on multiple all-time top 50 lists within the program, including field goals made, free throws made, rebounds, and assists. He is 10th in program history in field goal percentage, sitting just three spots below Harris with a mark of 56.3 percent. His 1,050 points scored still sits within the top 25 all-time to this day. He was a two-time All-Conference selection, earning First Team in 1978 and Second Team in 1979. The Vikings took second in conference all four seasons he played.
In track & field, Jacks was the CCIW champion in the long jump in 1979. He currently holds No. 9 in the program's outdoor record book in that event with a mark of 7.13m set in 1978.
Jacks earned his Business Administration degree from Augustana in 1979.
