Sarahbeth (Jones) Chargois was a five-time CCIW champion, earning her first in 2012 during the indoor season. She was a part of the championship-winning distance medley relay team that included Kate Benge, Kierra Smith, and Jessica Bacon, while also claiming first in the 3,000m race. Later that year in the outdoor season, Jones won the 5,000m for the Vikings
In her senior campaign, Chargois was again successful in the 3,000m during indoor season, winning the event at the CCIW Championships for the second straight season. She followed it up with another win in the 5,000m at the CCIW outdoor meet, also grabbing first in the 10,000m on her way to a CCIW Athlete of the Meet award. Following graduation, Chargois was awarded an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, later earning her M.S. in Public Relations from VCU.
Chargois currently sits in the top three in three different indoor events. She is second all-time in both the 5000m and mile, and third in the 3,000m. She remains the record holder in three outdoor events (5,000m, 3000m, 1500m) and is top 10 in the 800m and 10,000m as well.
