Augustana College Athletics

Martin Kananishu was a graduate of the Augustana class of 1929.  He distinguished himself in football, basketball, and baseball.  He also earned ten letters in his four years at Augustana.

Kananishu earned All-Conference in football and basketball, Most Valuable Player in baseball, team Captain in basketball, and high season scorer in both football and basketball.  He was also elected to the Mythical All-Augustana first team in football by the Observer and coaches in 1930.  His great athleticism helped him become a member of the Hall of Honor.
