CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. - Augustana College (2-1-2, 0-0-0) men's soccer was in action once again on Saturday as they traveled east to visit Wabash College (7-1-1, 0-0-0). After an early, second-half goal gave Augie the lead, Wabash found an equalizer in the final 10 minutes to secure a 1-1 tie between the teams.

How It Happened
First Half
Within nine minutes of kickoff, both teams already had a shot on goal that were saved by the keepers. Following a few missed shots by Wabash, Cameron Scupham tried to get the Vikings on the board but saw his shot saved at 20:40. Just three minutes later, Nico Linaje saw his shot attempt saved as well.
Linaje put another shot on frame at 28:40, but was stuffed by the goalie once more. Banke saw more action at 35:05 with his next save of the game, and, after Jacob Roffman had his attempt save, Banke made the final save of the half at 42:54 to end the first 45 minutes tied 0-0.
Second Half
Wabash came out firing in the second half. They banked a shot off the left pipe at 47:12 before firing back-to-back shots at 49:17, neither of which reached Banke. Both teams managed to grab a shot in the 57th minute, but it was in the 61st minute that Colmenero broke the tie with his first goal of his collegiate career.
For the next 20 minutes, the Vikings outshot the Little Giants 2-1, but neither team could find the net. That was until Wabash scored the game-tying goal with less than 10 minutes to play in the game. Both teams continued pushing in the final stretch, with Wabash seeing two of their shots saved while Donaghey had a last minute shot stopped as well. Ultimately, neither squad found the tie-breaking goal, ending the match in a 1-1 draw.

Men's soccer has one more non-conference game remaining on the schedule before CCIW play starts. On Tuesday, Sept. 22, the team heads to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to face Coe at 7 p.m.
