Men's Lacrosse honors 2015 team against Elmhurst

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Augustana Vikings men's lacrosse team fell to the Elmhurst Bluejays by a 27–0 final on Saturday afternoon at Thorson-Lucken Field.

Elmhurst established control early, scoring 11 times in the opening quarter and leading 22-0 at halftime. They added three more in the third and two more in the fourth.

Offensively, Eddie Resendez and Nik Schaafsma tallied four shots a piece. Jamar Taylor had two caused turnovers, and Jack Sergeant led the Vikings with six ground balls. Goalkeepers Hagan Quigley and Keegan Weir collected seven saves in the effort. 

At halftime, Augustana honored the 2015 men's lacrosse team, recognizing the program's NCAA Tournament appearance and celebrating one of the most successful seasons in program history.

With the loss, the Vikings slip to 3-9, 0-2 in CCIW action. Augustana returns to action on Saturday, April 18, traveling to face Carroll. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
