FORT MYERS, Fla. -- The Augustana Vikings baseball team fell to the UT Dallas Comets on Saturday by a score of 21-10.

UT Dallas scored five in the opening inning to secure the early lead and added two more in the top of the second to make a 7-0 score. After the Comets extended their lead in the third to 11-0, Augie answered with a four-spot to get on the board. Alec McGinnis singled and moved around the bases before crossing home plate on a fielder's choice. Dymitri Kanellakis and Ryan Coon each reached base and came in via a double by Kaileb Hackman to make it an 11-3 game. Ethan Sosnowski ended the inning with a single to bat Hackman in.

Michael Aragon kicked off the bottom of the fourth with a single and advanced after a hit by pitch and fielder's choice before running home on an error by UT Dallas. A sacrifice fly allowed McGinnis to get the Vikings within five at an 11-6 score.

In the fifth inning, Sosnowski doubled and ran home after two ground outs. McGinnis followed with a single and advanced on an error by the Comets and scored on the following play. Riley Hendren hit an RBI triple later in the frame minimize the gap to two at 11-9. In the top of the sixth, UT Dallas added six more runs and another in the seventh to stretch the gap to 18-9. In the final inning, the Comets brought three more runs before Hackman homered to conclude the game 21-10.
