ROCK ISLAND -- The Augustana Vikings women's lacrosse team fell to the Carroll Pioneers on Wednesday by a score of 22-1.

The Pioneers out-scored the Vikings 11-0 after 15 minutes of action. In the second period, Elena Bechard notched the lone goal for Augie after a free-position shot in a woman-up situation with 5:27 remaining in the half. Carroll held the 13-1 advantage heading into the halftime break. The Pioneers tallied nine more in the second half and held Augie scoreless.

With the loss, Augie moves to 2-9 on the season and 1-3 in conference play. The Vikings will be back in action on Saturday, April 20 for a road game against Chicago.
