CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings baseball team dropped the third game of the series against the North Park Vikings on Wednesday by a score of 10-2.
North Park was first to score in the bottom of the second and added three more to its total in the fourth. Both teams remained scoreless until the home Vikings put up two more in the bottom of the seventh. Augie tallied two of their own in the top of the eighth, both coming on an Alex Simon double to left field to bring in two runs. North Park followed with three more runs in the bottom half to make it a 10-2 score.
Simon and Daniel Mosele led Augie with two hits.
With the loss, Augie moves to 16-10 on the season and 3-5 in CCIW. The Vikings will stay on the road Saturday, April 13 for a doubleheader against Illinois Wesleyan.
