CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. -- The Augustana Vikings men's lacrosse team was defeated on the road on Tuesday, falling to the Wabash Little Giants by a score of 15-4.
Wabash notched the game's first five goals before
Elijah Graesser got Augie on the board with unassisted strike. The Little Giants claimed the momentum right back with a 7-0 scoring spurt to pull away for good. Augustana went even with Wabash for the game's final six tallies, seeing three goals from three different players.
Carson Ghys found the back of the net at the 10:45 mark of the final period, followed by goals from Graesser and
Jack Connolly.
Brady Holtz and Ghys also assisted on two of the team's final three points.
Trevor Herman led the Vikings with five ground balls and was 9-15 on faceoff attempts, while
Charley Dore also added three ground balls to go with two caused turnovers.
Gus Magnusson secured 11 saves in net.
With the loss, Augie drops to 2-5 on the year. The team will return to action on Friday at Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati, Ohio.
