AUBURNDALE, Fla. -- The Augustana Vikings baseball team was defeated in its third game of the RussMatt Invitational on Sunday, falling to the Colby Mules by a score of 11-7.
The Mules struck first with three runs in their opening at-bat, but the Vikings responded with three of their own in the bottom half to pull even.
Dymitri Kanellakis was responsible for driving in the first run with his single to center field.
Grant Biggins' sacrifice fly and
Colton Davis' RBI single added to the first-inning output. Colby posted another big inning in the second, adding four to their total for a 7-3 lead. Augie earned one back in the ensuing at-bat on an infield RBI hit from Kanellakis. The Mules led 7-4 after two innings of action.

After back-to-back singles to begin the inning, three straight errors from the Mules helped push across three Augie runs to bring the Vikings within one at 8-7. Colby added scores in the sixth and eighth inning to hang on for the 11-7 win.
Augustana had eight hits, led by a 3-5 effort from Kanellakis, while
