CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings men's volleyball team was defeated by the North Park Vikings on Saturday, falling on the road 3-0 by a score of 25-11, 25-8, 25-22.

After a 6-3 start for Augustana in the opening set, the home team Vikings rattled off 11 straight points to double up Augie 12-6. North Park continued to grow their margin before notching the final five points of the set to win by double figures. Set two brought more of the same, seeing North Park quickly double up Augustana 10-5 to start and once more at 12-6. The home team pulled away with an 8-0 run, scoring 13 of the final 15 points scored to make it two double-figure wins in as many tries.

Augustana hung around in the third set, overcoming an early deficit to even the score at 15 points apiece. After alternating the next six points, North Park broke away with a 4-0 spurt, eventually holding on for the three-point win.

Aiden Bolen led the team with five kills, while Max Sellers notched double-digit digs with 10.

With the loss, Augustana drops to 10-9 overall and 1-5 in the conference. The Vikings will face No. 7 North Central on Sunday in Naperville, Ill. at 1 p.m.
