WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Augustana baseball (13-3) rode the right arm of
Harrison Boushele to victory on Friday morning. The Viking starter shut down the Benedictine (6-4) offense with a dominating performance on the mound.
The Vikings put together their first productive inning in the bottom of the second.
Jacob Barker singled in both second-inning runs. Augustana continued an inning later with three more runs in the bottom of the third.
Chase Maifield started the frame with an RBI single.
Matt Helms followed with an RBI walk and Barker chipped in by driving one in after being hit by a pitch.
Maifield came through again with another two-RBI single in the fourth frame.
After a couple scoreless innings, the Vikings delivered the final blow in the seventh inning when Barker scored on a
Kyle Campbell sac fly.

Matt Ozanic all recorded multiple hits in the game versus Benedictine with Ozanic's three hits leading the way. Ozanic, Campbell, and Maifield also scored two runs each while Barker and Maifield drove in three apiece.
Harrison Boushele remained undefeated on the mound in his fourth win of the year. Boushele gave up just one hit and struck out 11 Eagles in the non-conference victory.
Augustana will be back in action tomorrow, Saturday, Mar. 26 in a last-minute addition to the schedule. The Vikings will face St. Olaf for their final matchup in Florida.
