WAUKESHA, Wis. -- Augie men's soccer lost their road matchup to the Carroll Pioneers on Saturday by a score of 6-0.

The Pioneers hit the gas pedal early, scoring twice in the first 16 minutes of play. Augie responded with their lone shot attempt of the half via Austin Carr, but was blocked just outside of the box by Carroll. The Pioneers then proceeded to pour-on two more goals to finish the half up 4-0. Benjamin Samuelson was Augie's first-half keeper, recording five saves on 11 shots faced.

Augie emerged from halftime showing more life offensively as they tallied three shots, though none connected with the back of the net. Ben Statz and Neyel Boutkhourst held the two on-goal attempts for the Vikings. The Pioneers went on to score twice more in second to settle the match at a 6-0 final.

The Vikings play their final match of the season this upcoming Wednesday in a road bout against North Central. Start time is scheduled for 7:30 from Naperville.
