KENOSHA, Wis. -- Augustana men's soccer lost on the road 3-0 to the Carthage Firebirds at Art Keller Field on Saturday night.
Augie could not get anything going offensively in the first half, forcing just one shot and zero corners, while Carthage registered 10 attempts. The lone shot of the first half for the Vikings came via sophomore 
Jarrett Baumgartner on a last-minute attempt in minute 44. Augustana surrendered two goals total to the Firebirds in the first half, trailing by a score of 2-0. 
The Vikings began to come alive offensively in the second period, registering eight shots. Senior 
Austin Carr led the effort with four in the half, while four other Vikings sent one shot each towards the goal. Carthage registered the lone score of the second half in minute 49, getting past junior 
Frankie Baio in his first appearance of the 2022 fall season. 
Augustana will return home for their next contest against Illinois Wesleyan on Wednesday, October 5. Start time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m from Thorson-Lucken Field. You can also watch the action live on stream
