FOND DU LAC, Wis. - The Augustana Vikings men's soccer team dropped a road matchup with the Marian Sabres on Saturday, falling by a score of 3-0 from Smith Field.

It was an evenly-played opening half for both teams, with the Vikings holding a slight advantage in the shots category at 6-5 through 45 minutes of action. The Sabres held a one-goal lead at the break, converting a free kick in the 28th minute from about 30 yards out for the game's first score.

Less than a minute into the second half, Marian doubled their lead on a one-on-one breakaway that resulted from a chipped ball over the defense. The Sabres added an insurance score in the 62nd minute after the ball deflected off of a couple of Vikings defenders and in.
