WHITEWATER, Wis. – Augie women' soccer (8-7, 4-3) suffered a narrow 1-0 loss at Wisconsin-Whitewater (12-5, 3-2) last night.
The Warhawks scored the only goal of the game just a few minutes into the first half when Anna Brodjian assisted Katy Kusswurm for her first score of the year.
Defense ruled the remainder of the contest and neither team could break through. UW-Whitewater's goalkeeper, Lilly Horne, recorded one save in her shutout victory.
Janey Castoe made four total saves in the Viking loss.
UW-Whitewater led Augustana in total shots by a 13-7 margin and shots on goal by a 5-1 advantage.

The Vikings will conclude their regular season on Saturday, Oct. 30 when North Park visits Augustana. This weekend's contest features major conference tournament implications as the winner of the match will qualify for the CCIW postseason.
