Augustana's two shots in a 3-0
loss at #25 St. Norbert Saturday.
DE PERE, Wis. –St. Norbert scored in the fourth minute Saturday on its way to a 3-0 win over Augustana at Schneider Stadium. The Vikings dropped to 0-2-1 on the year, while the 25th-ranked Green Knights improved to 2-1.
Ben Prange got the hosts on the board in the fourth minute, scoring from point-blank range off a cross from Max Censky. Despite a 9-0 deficit in shots during the first half, Augustana trailed just 1-0 as the sides went to halftime.
St. Norbert extended its advantage to 2-0 in the 47th minute when Prange assisted on a Mitchell Scholz goal. Seth Boldt's fourth goal of the season came in the 77th minute and accounted for the final. Brandon DiOrio was credited with the assist.
The Green Knights finished with a 20-2 edge in shots, including 9-2 in shots on goal. Juniors
Salah Aghlaf (Sabrine HS, Casablanca, Morocco) and
Matt Tinker (Pomona HS, Arvada, Colo.) pulled the trigger for the Vikings. St. Norbert took six corners to two for Augustana. The visitors were whistled for 17 fouls and all three yellow cards issued in the match, while SNC was called for 15 fouls.

Jeremy Klaber (Stevenson HS, Buffalo Grove, Ill.) went the distance and was credited with six saves. Matt Plewski went 80-plus minutes in goal and recorded both of the Green Knights' saves.

Mick Regan's crew will be back in action on Saturday, September 14, hosting Beloit at Thorson-Lucken Field in a match scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
