ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Augustana sent seven seniors out in style Saturday, sweeping a doubleheader from North Park 11-6 and 9-5 on Senior Day at Carver Field. Coach
Kris Kistler's Vikings evened their 2019 records at 18-18 overall and 7-7 in the CCIW. The visitors dropped to 12-20 and 1-11, respectively.
Taylor Belo celebrated Senior Day by
going 5-for-8 with a homer Saturday,
as Augustana downed North Park
11-6 and 9-5 at Carver Field .

Kelcie Fredrickson (Fisher HS, Foosland, Ill.) before Saturday's games. Augustana is scheduled to wrap up the regular season with a 1:00 p.m. doubleheader at North Central on Saturday, April 27.
AUGUSTANA 11, NORTH PARK 6
The hosts broke open a 4-4 game with a seven-run sixth in the opener. A two-out home run by sophomore
Molly Wrenn (Geneva HS, Geneva, Ill.) put the Vikings on top 5-4. Freshman
Erin Smith (Columbine HS, Highlands Ranch, Colo.) singled in a run and junior
Alyssa Klahn (Lincoln-Way Central HS, New Lenox, Ill.) two before Ruch capped the frame with a three-run homer to left.
Despite surrendering two runs, freshman
Ashley Dehmlow (McHenry West HS, Spring Grove, Ill.) closed things out in the seventh.
Klahn had a two-run double in the first and Belo and Wilson drove in runs in the second as Augustana gave starter Fredrickson a 4-0 lead. North Park got a run in the third and three off Smith in the sixth to tie it.
Fredrickson allowed just one run in four innings. Smith threw two frames and got the win to move to 4-4 on the year. North Park's Rachael Feazelle (3-4) went 5 2/3 and absorbed the loss.
Klahn and junior
Dina Falk (Lake Park HS, Bloomingdale, Ill.) each went 3-for-4 at the plate. Falk scored two runs and Klahn drove in four. Belo was 2-for-4 and scored twice. Ruch knocked in three runs and Wrenn and Smith each scored a pair.
AUGUSTANA 9, NORTH PARK 5
Augustana snapped a 5-5 tie with two runs in the top of the sixth in the nightcap. Dehmlow had a one-out single and eventually scored the go-ahead run on a steal of home. Falk, who walked, scored an insurance run.
Kramer's two-run double in the seventh accounted for the final.
Belo gave Augustana the lead with a solo homer in the first, but North Park tallied a pair in the bottom half.
Wilson had a two-run single as the hosts regained the lead with four runs in the third, but three NPU runs in the bottom half tied it at 5-5.
Sophomore
Cecelia Peine (Holt HS, Wentzville, Mo.) went the first five innings and got the win to move to 4-5 on the year. Smith threw two scoreless frames to pick up her second save. North Park's Hayley Jackson went the distance and suffered her ninth loss in 12 decisions this year.
Belo finished 3-for-4 and Smith 2-for-4. Kramer and Wilson each had two RBI and Falk scored twice.
