Senior Sadie Roberts scored a team-
high 14 points in Augustana's 77-65
win at North Park Saturday.

On a night when North Park limited Izzy Anderson (Alleman HS, Rock Island, Ill.) and Alexis Jones (Marist HS, Chicago, Ill.) to nine points each—16 below their combined average—Beinborn got 41 points from his bench, including a team-high 14 from senior Sadie Roberts (United Township HS, East Moline, Ill.). Senior Scooter Lopez (Mountain Vista HS, Highlands Ranch, Colo.) added 10 off the pine. Senior Clare Kramer (Prophetstown HS, Lyndon, Ill.) was the lone starter in double figures, finishing with 13.

Anderson's nine points pushed her to 1,003 for her career, as she became the 11th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point plateau.

Kramer hit two three-pointers and a pair of free throws as Augustana jumped in front 12-0. Lopez beat the first-quarter buzzer with a trey that gave the visitors a 20-8 lead after one period.

A Roberts putback at 8:49 of the second quarter gave the Vikings their biggest lead of the first half at 24-10. NPU twice cut the deficit to single digits on Jayla Johnson buckets, but Augustana responded. Anderson scored her 1,000th point on a layup at the 4:52 mark and another Lopez triple 4:23 before halftime extended the advantage back to 14 (33-19). Alisha Panthier's basket with 15 seconds left cut North Park's deficit to 38-27 at intermission.

Josie Summerville scored NPU's first seven points of the third quarter and the hosts pulled to within five (41-36) on a Johnson field goal with 6:15 left in the period. A Roberts basket and a Jones three-pointer pushed the margin back to double digits, but North Park answered with five straight to cut the deficit to five again. Junior Jeni Crain (Woodstock HS, Woodstock, Ill.) and Anderson sandwich treys around a Summerville layup and Augustana led 56-47 going to the fourth quarter.

The hosts would get no closer than nine points the rest of the way. The Vikings equaled their biggest leads of the night on a Justice Edell (Rock Island HS, Rock Island, Ill.) conventional three-point play (66-52) and again (68-54) on two Edell free throws with 3:57 to play. Augustana hit 10 straight free throws in the final 5:13 to maintain a comfortable margin.

Roberts shot 5-of-7 from the field and 4-of-4 at the foul line, while Lopez was 3-of-4 (including both of her tries from beyond the arc) and 2-of-2, respectively. The Viking bench converted a combined 14 of 22 (.636) field goal attempts. Kramer went 3-for-5 from three-point range and 4-of-4 at the line. Jones snared a game-high 13 rebounds and shared the team assist lead (three) with Anderson. Anderson and Roberts each grabbed five boards.

Beinborn's club finished the night 26-54 (.481) from the floor, 9-16 (.563) from long range and 16-19 (.842) at the charity stripe. North Park shot .388 (26-67) from the field, .278 (5-18) from three-point range and .533 (8-15) from the free throw line. Augustana led 39-37 on the boards and committed 19 turnovers to 10 for NPU.

The Vikings will go for number seven in a row on Saturday, January 12, when Carthage visits Carver Center for a 5:00 p.m. tipoff.
