record at 2-2.

Cole Heinbaugh gave Principia the lead with an unassisted goal—his first of the season—in the fifth minute.

The Panthers extended the advantage in the 42nd minute. Kaleb Keller's unassisted goal gave his side a 2-0 lead at intermission. Principia outshot its guests 11-7 in the first half.

Sophomore Joe Granato (Naperville Central HS, Naperville, Ill.) tallied his first collegiate goal in the 47th minute to cut the Augustana deficit in half.

The Panthers put the game away, however, with two more scores. In minute 64, Keller assisted on Jack Rogers' first goal of the season and Heinbaugh fed Keller for his team-leading fourth goal of the year in the 78th minute.

Principia finished with a 20-19 edge in shots and put 14 on frame to a dozen for the visitors. Granato, senior Jack McKearnan (Warren HS, Gurnee, Ill.) and junior Salah Aghlaf (Casablanca, Morocco) were the most active Vikings on the offensive end. Granato put all three of his attempts on goal, McKearnan three of four and Aghlaf two of four.

Junior Jeremy Klaber (Stevenson HS, Buffalo Grove, Ill.) recorded eight saves, while his counterpart, David McLeod-Warrick, made seven for the Panthers.

On Saturday, September 29, Coach Mick Regan's crew travels to Waukesha, Wisconsin to face Carroll in a CCIW match scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
