a 1-1 tie with North Park at Thorson-Lucken Field to open CCIW play. Coach Scott Mejia's club is now 6-1-1 on the year and 0-0-1 in the league, while North Park moved to 3- 4-1 overall and 0-0-1 in the conference.

Augustana outshot NPU 8-5 in the first half, but put just one shot on frame—a Lauren Muzzalupo (St. Charles North HS, St. Charles, Ill.) try in the 14th minute that was saved by North Park keeper Theresa Weiss.

In the 54th minute, the hosts missed out on a prime opportunity, when senior Andria Serra's (Alleman HS, Silvis, Ill.) attempt at a nearly open net slid wide left.

Augustana finally took a 1-0 lead in the 66th minute. Muzzalupo took Abby Wendell's (Hersey HS, Arlington Heights, Ill.) corner from the right side and beat Weiss with a header inside the near post. The goal was Muzzalupo's third of the season, just one off Serra's team-leading total.

It looked like the score might hold up, but in the 87th minute, the visitors were awarded a corner from the right side. Mikaela Mandala's boot found Emica Quigley on the near side and Quigley headed it past Augustana keeper Sydney Ion (Aquinas HS, La Crosse, Wis.) to knot the match.

Weiss made the save on an Allison Harvey (Wheaton Warrenville South HS, Wheaton, Ill.) header in the 89th minute and the sides went to overtime.

Augustana outshot its guests 4-1 in the two extra sessions, but couldn't come up with the game-winner. The last shot of the contest came in minute 105, when an attempt by Serra was wide.

Mejia's crew finished with an 18-10 advantage in shots. NPU put six of its attempts on goal to five for the hosts. Augustana also had a 12-2 edge in corners and committed 23 fouls to 15 for North Park. Each side was issued three yellow cards as well.

Weiss finished with five saves and Ion with four.

Augustana is back in action on Sunday, September 23, traveling to Storm Lake, Iowa to take on Buena Vista in a 2:00 p.m. match.
