ROCK ISLAND -- Augustana head men's basketball coach
Jordan Delp and his staff have announced the program's incoming 2026 recruiting class. It consists of eight incoming freshmen and two transfers.
"Our 2026-27 recruiting class is full of young men who pride themselves on being phenomenal members of their communities, amazing students in the classroom, and tough competitors on the court," said Delp. "Comprised of two transfers and eight first-year students, we believe each of them adds to the collective toughness and togetherness in our program. Add in their basketball IQs, size, and skill, and you'll see why we're so excited. We can't wait to get to work!"
Baker Beal is a 6-5 forward from Rock Island High School who joins the Vikings as a transfer from Division II Allen University in Columbia, S.C. While playing at his first junior college in Fort Scott, Kan., he earned back-to-back Player of the Week honors. Outside of basketball, Beal will study communications at Augustana and works with his father at a retirement home, where he enjoys connecting with the residents. He enjoys basketball because it provides a sense of freedom and allows him to compete.
Coach Delp on Beal:Â Baker is a versatile young man who will make a huge impact for us, inside and out, on both ends of the floor and as a rebounder. His passion for the game is palpable whenever he's on the floor - we're excited to have him back home displaying it this year.
Jovohn Davis, a 6-5 forward from Davenport West, joins the Vikings as a transfer from Ridgewater. During the 2025-26 season, he helped his team reach the national tournament and finished with 2,023 points, 138 rebounds, 69 assists, 30 steals, and five blocks. Outside of basketball, Davis volunteers with food drives and food pantries. He enjoys basketball for the family and relationships he has built through the game.
Coach Delp on Davis:Â Jovohn joins us after two successful years up north, where he impacted winning as he continued to develop. Adept at using his combination of toughness, basketball IQ, and size, Jo is a phenomenal fit with who we want to be as a program.
Adam Bauer is a 6-7 forward from Cary, Ill., and Cary-Grove High School. His athletic accomplishments include two-time All-Area and All-Conference honors, an All-State honorable mention, an All-Tournament Team selection, and finishing as the second all-time leading scorer and rebounder at Cary-Grove. He also surpassed 1,000 career points. Academically, Bauer was an AP Scholar with Honors, graduated with honors, was a member of the National Honor Society, and maintained a weighted GPA above 4.0. He plans to study either biology or kinesiology on the pre-physical therapy track at Augustana. Outside of basketball, Bauer was actively involved in performing arts groups at Cary-Grove and also played baseball. He enjoys the tempo and intensity of basketball, with his favorite part being catching lobs for a dunk.
Coach Delp on Bauer:Â Adam is a dynamic inside-outside threat who is already primed for the physical nature of the CCIW. After leading his high school to one of its best seasons ever last year, we can't wait to see Adam's blend of size, skill, and sacrifice in the navy and gold.
Aiden Crane is a 6-0 guard from Orfordville, Wis., and Parkview High School. During his high school career, he scored 1,943 points and earned Conference Player of the Year honors, two-time All-State recognition, and four All-Conference selections. Crane plans to study psychology and kinesiology at Augustana. He enjoys basketball because it gives him the freedom to express himself.
Coach Delp on Crane:Â From one Viking school to the next, Aiden brings unlimited range, slap-the-floor toughness, and a love for the work that is infectious to those around him. A coach's son, and a coach already himself, Aiden knows how to play the game the right way.
Fenix Foy is a 6-5 forward from Peoria, Ill., and Peoria High School, where he graduated as valedictorian with a 4.5 GPA. His athletic accomplishments include two-time First Team All-Conference honors, All-State honorable mention recognition, an undefeated conference championship, and Peoria High School Athlete of the Year honors. Outside of basketball, Foy is active in various student-led organizations focused on supporting and developing younger students. He enjoys basketball because of the way it brings people together.
Coach Delp on Foy:Â Fenix plays with a consistent ferocity that few can match, with a motor that never seems to switch off. Don't let his constant smile fool you - he is a competitor through and through, who will fight to get it done.
Tyler Horvath is a 6-0guard from East Moline, Ill., and United Township High School, where he was an Illinois Principal Association Leadership Award recipient, graduated summa cum laude, was a member of the Spanish National Honor Society, and earned a State Gold Medal in Unified Bowling. He plans to double major in biology and Spanish at Augustana with hopes of pursuing a career in the medical field. Outside of basketball, Horvath is involved in Unified Sports, which uses athletics to help break down barriers associated with disabilities. He enjoys basketball for the opportunity to compete and build stronger relationships with his teammates.
Coach Delp on Horvath:Â Tyler is an incredibly savvy player, a tireless worker, and a phenomenal teammate. Viking fans will love watching him harass our opponents defensively and rebound relentlessly, while he pushes the pace and makes the right play on the other end.
Jack Kohlbeck is a 6-6 forward from Marshfield, Wis., and Columbus Catholic High School. During his time at Columbus Catholic, he was a two-time conference champion, two-time regional champion and two-time Academic All-State honoree. He was also the recipient of the Rick Majerus Foundation Scholarship. Kohlbeck plans to study kinesiology at Augustana with the goal of becoming a physical therapist. Outside of basketball, he has completed more than 80 hours of volunteer work at a hospital. He enjoys basketball because of the many ways a player can contribute and be effective both individually and as part of a team.
Coach Delp on Kohlbeck:Â A sweet-shooting big man, Jack comes to us from a highly successful high school program that valued principle-based basketball. As he continues to develop off the court and adjusts to the physicality of the college game, look for big things from Jack.Â
Uros Mitrovic is a 6-5 forward from Lake Villa, Ill., and Grayslake North High School, where he was a three-year captain, the school's career record holder for three-pointers made, a two-time All-Conference and two-time All-Area honoree, and a four-time Academic All-Conference selection.
Coach Delp on Mitrovic:Â Uros is a big guard who can score inside and out and embraces the physicality of the game, evidenced by finishing #1 in all-time made 3's and #2 in rebounds at his high school. That blend will serve him well as a Viking.
Jacob Sidwell is a 6-7 forward from St. Louis, Mo., and Parkway South High School. His athletic accomplishments include two-time First Team All-Conference honors, two-time All-District recognition, Parkway South Team MVP, an All-Tournament Team selection, and holding the school record for career field-goal percentage. Academically, Sidwell was a member of the National Honor Society and a Parkway South Scholar-Athlete. He plans to explore business at Augustana. Outside of basketball, Sidwell has volunteered with younger students through basketball camps and donated goods to homeless shelters. He enjoys basketball for the competition and the relationships he has built through the game.
Coach Delp on Sidwell:Â Jacob is an athletic big man with a soft touch on the perimeter, who loves protecting the rim and controlling the glass. Able to match great execution with high energy, he has only scratched the surface of who he can become on and off the court.
Dallas Smith is a 5-10 point guard from Bloomington-Normal, Ill., and Normal University High School, where he was a regional champion, Sweet Sixteen finalist, and holds school records for assists in a season and assists in a single game. Smith plans to study civil engineering at Augustana with the goal of becoming an architect. Outside of basketball, he has been involved with Jack and Jill of America Inc. for the past 13 years, an organization that promotes leadership among children and teens while giving back through philanthropic activities. He enjoys basketball because of the lasting connections and friendships he has built with coaches and teammates.
Coach Delp on Smith:Â A point guard in the truest sense, Dallas knows how to make the simple play and how to make the play simple for the next guy. Stoic on and off the court, his composure and demeanor will serve him well as he continues developing his sizable skill.
