Brian Fischer were among those recognized.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Baseball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
Hendren, a sophomore from Normal, Illinois, is pursuing double majors in Accounting and Business Finance. He earned Third-Team All-Region honors from both D3baseball.com and ABCA/Rawlings after leading the Vikings with a .364 batting average, 64 hits, 18 doubles, eight home runs, and 40 RBIs. Hendren appeared on 12 of the CCIW's 19 statistical leaderboards, leading the conference in hits, doubles, and at-bats. He also ranked fourth in runs scored and hit-by-pitches, fifth in home runs, and sixth in both RBIs and stolen bases. He finished the season with a .594 slugging percentage, a 1.039 OPS, and an impressive .635 batting average in conference play. On April 4 against Elmhurst, Hendren delivered one of the top performances of the season, recording career highs with six hits, two home runs, four runs scored, and six RBIs.
Hendren will advance to the Academic All-America ballot, with voting set to begin this week.
Coon, a sophomore from Freeport, Illinois, is a double major in Business Finance and Accounting. He started all 36 games he appeared in this season, finishing with 40 hits, eight doubles, two home runs, 27 RBIs, and 24 stolen bases. Defensively, Coon was flawless in the outfield, recording 69 putouts and two assists without committing an error. He posted a season-high three hits, including a double, in Augustana's final home game against Illinois Wesleyan on April 25.
Nettleton, a senior from Sterling, Illinois, majored in Business Management at Augustana. Following an outstanding season on the mound, he earned First-Team All-Region honors from ABCA/Rawlings and Third-Team recognition from D3baseball.com. Nettleton led the Vikings with a 2.92 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP while topping the CCIW with 120 strikeouts—28 more than the next closest pitcher. He also ranked second in the conference in both opponent batting average (.196) and innings pitched (87.1). His top performance came on April 19 against North Park, when he struck out a season-high 15 batters.
Hackman, a sophomore from Bloomington, Illinois, is majoring in Biology. He started 40 of Augustana's 41 games and compiled 58 hits, 12 doubles, nine home runs, 43 RBIs, and seven stolen bases. In left field, he recorded 44 putouts and one assist. Hackman collected a season-high five hits in an early-season matchup at Grinnell on Feb. 15.
Fischer, a senior from Centennial, Colorado, graduated with double majors in Data Science and Communication Studies. He appeared in 21 games this season, logging 43.1 innings and 34 strikeouts while also contributing 14 defensive assists. Fischer recorded a season-high six strikeouts against Carleton on March 23.
