ROCK ISLAND -- The Augustana Vikings men's soccer team finished the 2025 season with a 4-8-3 overall record and a 2-5-1 mark in CCIW play during head coach Chad Flanders' third season at the helm. The Vikings battled through a challenging schedule while relying on a young roster including several first-year contributors and a First Team All-CCIW selection.

Augustana opened the season with consecutive draws against Simpson and Monmouth before earning its first victory of the year with a 2-1 road win over Knox. The Vikings added a shutout victory over Coe before opening conference play with one of their strongest performances of the season, a 5-2 win over then #16 North Park at Thorson-Lucken Field. The Vikings earned a hard-fought 2-2 draw at North Central during conference play and closed the season with a dominant 4-0 victory over Elmhurst. Augustana finished the year with 22 goals and three shutouts.

Matt Donaghey led the team with four goals on the season, while Javi Landin tallied 11 points and five assists. Freshmen Jacob Roffman and Sebastian Trujillo each scored two goals, while Jamie K'Otieno added six points in nine appearances.

In November, Landin earned First Team All-CCIW honors after leading the Vikings in points and assists. Goalkeeper William Gabrielsson also put together one of the strongest freshman seasons in program history, recording 82 saves and a .739 save percentage. His 82 saves rank ninth in Augustana single-season history, while his 5.47 saves per game rank sixth all-time.

With a young core returning to the pitch, the Vikings will look to build on the experience gained throughout the 2025 campaign as they prepare for the 2026 season.
