Men's volleyball celebrates seniors in win over North Park

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Augustana Vikings men's volleyball team swept the North Park Vikings in straight sets on Saturday, after a brief pregame celebration honoring the programs fantastic senior class. Augustana controlled the match from the first serve, using balanced offense and clutch play at the net to take all three sets.
The opening set featured a back-and-forth start before Augustana began to separate midway through the frame. Aidan Bolen and Alexander Sulewski were active early, while Colin Schaefer spread the offense to multiple options. A key stretch saw Augustana turn defensive stops into points, including blocks from Schaefer and Sulewski, helping build a cushion in the middle of the set. Late in the set, kills from Bolen and Grayson Juel pushed the Vikings to set point before closing it out 25–19.
In the second, Augustana created distance earlier and never gave it back. Bolen continued to produce offensively, recording multiple kills during a mid-set run, while Tom Lamb added key swings to keep the pressure on. A service ace from Schaefer and another block from Bolen helped extend the lead, as the Vikings capitalized on North Park errors while avoiding damanging mistakes of their own. While maintaining clean side-out play, Augustana closed the set on its terms, taking a 2–0 lead into the break.
The third set followed a similar script, with Augustana jumping in front and controlling the tempo throughout. Early points from Bolen and Juel set the tone, while Lamb added multiple kills during the middle portion of the set. A short run fueled by a service ace from Juel and continued distribution from Schaefer helped the Vikings create separation. Augustana maintained that edge late, finishing off the sweep with a 25–16 win.
Bolen led the offensive effort with multiple kills across all three sets, while Lamb, Juel, and Sulewski each contributed key points throughout the match. Schaefer directed the offense and added a service ace, while also playing stout  defense at the net alongside Sulewski.

With the win, the Vikings wrap their season at 10-11.
