ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The Augustana Vikings men's lacrosse team fell to the Illinois Wesleyan Titans, 26-0, on Wednesday evening at Thorson-Lucken Field.
Illinois Wesleyan controlled the pace from the opening faceoff, building a 14-0 lead by halftime. The Titans added 10 more goals in the third period and two in the fourth to round out the scoring.
Offensively,
Nik Schaafsma led the Vikings with six shots.
Jamar Taylor added two shots and picked up three ground balls, while goalkeepers
Hagan Quigley and
Keegan Weir combined for seven saves. As a team, Augustana recorded 12 shots, went 21-for- on clears, and collected 15 ground balls.
The Vikings return to the field for their final game of the regular season on Saturday, April 25 for Senior Day. Faceoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
