NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings women's lacrosse team has been projected to finish in a tie for fourth this season in the CCIW, based upon the results of the conference's annual preseason coaches' poll announced Thursday.
The Vikings earned 12 points alongside North Central, one behind Illinois Wesleyan and five ahead of Elmhurst. Augie finished the 2025 season with a 5-10 record and a 1-4 mark in CCIW action. The team officially begins the 2026 season on February 14 at home against Hanover.
Voting for the CCIW Preseason Women's Lacrosse Poll is done by the head women's lacrosse coaches. Each coach votes for the six other programs in the conference in order of predicted finish. Points are assigned in reverse order of voting (seven points for first, six for second, etc.). Coaches do not vote for their own teams.Â
