Box Score ROCK ISLAND -- The Augustana Vikings women's soccer team collected a 0-0 draw with the visiting Illinois College Lady Blues on Wednesday at Thorson-Lucken Field.

In a neck-to-neck opening half, Illinois College outshot Augie 5-4, with two attempts being on goal for both teams. The Vikings' defense faced two shots within two minutes in the first 10 minutes of play. Five minutes later, Allison Gibeau kick-started the offensive side with a shot just left of the cafe. At 16:26, Skylar Swanson's attempt missed the cage high. The Lady Blues followed with two more shots after the 20-minute mark before Paige Bingen and Swanson collected shots on goal. After 45 minutes of play, both teams remained at a 0-0 deadlock. Sara Schinker ended the period with two saves. 

After the halftime break, both teams maintained their 5-4 shot margin, with three of Augie's being on goal and holding Illinois College to just one. Gibeau shot first after two minutes of action in the second half. The Lady Blues found themselves with two more attempts that were unable to find the back of the net. At 70:18, Samira Khobdeh collected her first shot on goal, and Paige Allis hit the ball low center to add to the Vikings' fight. Alyssa Mowry secured Augie's final shot at 82:54, and Augie held Illinois College scoreless in the final eight minutes of play to tie the game at 0-0. 

Gibeau and Swanson ended the night with two shots apiece, while Schinker stopped three shots in her 90 minutes in the net.

With the tie, Augie moves to 0-1-1 on the season and will be back in action on Saturday to host UW-Platteville.
