Box Score ROCK ISLAND -- The Augustana Vikings men's soccer team fell to the Central Dutch on Tuesday by a score of 2-1. 

In the first half, Central outshot the Vikings 7-4, with only three being on goal. Two of Augie's four attempts were on goal with shots by Ethan Wheeler, Nico Linaje, Javi Landin, and Diego San Pedro. Both teams remained scoreless in the opening period until 38:27, when the Dutch found the back of the net to take the lead. 

Returning to the field, both teams showed a strong defensive battle, with only three shots on goal out of the combined nine attempts. Early in the second half, the Dutch tallied another goal and held Augie scoreless until 61:20 when Saad Moukhlis shot a low right goal to move the game to 2-1. Both teams saw two more chances on the offensive side, but neither team was successful to conclude the game 2-1. 

Six different athletes collected shots on the night, with Linaje and Landin leading with two apiece. William Gabrielsson saved three shots in his 90 minutes in goal.

With the loss, Augie moves to 1-3-2 on the season and will be back in action next Tuesday to host Coe.
