Box Score MOUNT VERNON, Iowa -- The Augustana Vikings men's soccer team fell to the Cornell Rams on Saturday with a final score of 5-2. 

Cornell scored three goals in the first 15 minutes of action and again 12 minutes later to take the 4-0 advantage. Nick Sell attempted a shot for Augie before Fer Cuahquentzi secured the Vikings' first goal on a penalty kick to make a 4-1 score. The Rams attempted two more shots and held Augie to just one from Iker Concepcion, but the score remained 4-1 after the first 45 minutes of play. 

In the second half, Viktor Nilsson fired a shot before Cornell saw three attempts and tallied another point. Augustana's offense saw attempts from Luke Smith and Saad Moukhlis before Tyler Marquez found the back of the net at 87:09 to make a 5-2 final score. 

Eight different individuals attempted shots, while William Gabrielsson saved seven shots in his 90 minutes in goal. 

With the loss, Augie moves to 1-2-2 on the season and will be back in action on Tuesday to host Central.
