ROCK ISLAND -- Augustana head men's basketball coach Jordan Delp and his staff have announced the program's incoming 2025 recruiting class. It consists of 10 incoming freshmen and three transfers.
"The student-athletes of our 2025-26 recruiting class are a group of fine young men who have proven they can excel in the classroom, in their communities, and on the court," said Delp. "They will be wonderful advocates of our programs' values, and will fit right into our culture. After losing eight seniors who all had a tremendous impact on our team last year, we knew we needed to add an adaptable and dynamic group in a number of respects. We believe we were able to accomplish that task. Flexible in style of play, these guys bring a versatile blend of age, size, and skill that will help us continue establishing our identity at Augustana. Versatility aside, I know each of these young men bring the levels of competitiveness and toughness we want in our program. We're excited for the opportunity to work with each of them on and off the court."
Marieon Anderson is a 6-4 wing player from Rock Island High School and joins the Vikings as a senior transfer from Division II Lewis in Romeoville, Ill. In high school, he was a two-time WB6 All-Conference selection, 3A All-State Honorable Mention, and was the winner of the James O'Melia Jr. award. He appeared in over 60 games for the Flyers, which included 10 starts as a freshman.

Coach Delp on Anderson: Marieon impacts winning in all the right ways. We are lucky to have him coming back home to join us this season, and know that his selfless style of play will will be infectious in all the right ways, too. His ability to defend multiple positions, relentless rebounding nature, and high basketball IQ bring a ton of versatility to our program.
Cam Atkinson is a local product out of Rock Island High School and joins the Vikings as a transfer from Arizona Western CC. In March 2023, Atkinson was named the Iowa-Illinois All-Star game MVP after posting 22 points and eight rounds. At Arizona Western, he appeared in 28 games as a freshman and averaged 8.0 points per game in 21 games last season.
Coach Delp on Atkinson: Cam returns home after two years at Arizona Western, where he has continued to refine his game. Always a scorer, Cam has evolved as a playmaker, defender, and rebounder during his time in Yuma. He brings a quiet confidence to the court, and we're thrilled to watch him let his game do the talking as a Viking.
Andre Klaver is a 6-3 guard out of Sterling, Ill. and Sterling High School who played last year at Maryville at the NCAA Division II level. Klaver appeared in nine games as a freshman and averaged five points a game to go with 2.2 rebounds. He had a season-high 14 points on two different occasions against McKendree and Missouri-St. Louis. His senior year at Sterling, Klaver became the 12th player in school history to tally 1,000 career points.
Coach Delp on Klaver: Andre joined us at the beginning of second semester last year and, despite being injured, immediately ingrained himself into our culture. Now healthy, we are excited to see him back out on the floor doing what he loves. He is a difference maker for us, instantly, and a young man I'm elated to have the opportunity to coach again.
Ander Claros is a 6-2 point guard from Barcelona, Spain and Furtah Prep School. During his time at Furtah, Carlos was a part of a state championship and was named to both the All-Region and All-State teams.
Coach Delp on Claros: Ander is a lead guard and playmaker, who makes the game hard on his opponents and easier for his teammates. Joining us from Spain, he brings a high basketball IQ and a propensity to play in transition that will put pressure on opponents. After spending last year at a prep school in the states, we can't wait to watch him develop as a Viking.
Ryan Kaiser is a 5-9 guard from Tremont, Ill. and Tremont High School, where he was a member of the team that set the school win record. Some of his athletic accomplishments include: First Team All-HOI, Peoria Journal Star All-Area Team, Hopedale All-Area Team, and Peoria Journal Star Athlete of the Week. Academically, he graduated Summa Cum Laude, was a Graduate of Distinction, and an AP Scholar with Distinction.
Coach Delp on Kaiser: A small guard with loads of toughness, Ryan's style of play will be one Viking fans will recognize - he will pressure the ball 94', push the ball just as hard offensively, and will be loved by his teammates through and through. After a difficult injury to end his senior season, we expect Ryan to come to campus ready to make up for some lost time.
Jack Prunty is a 6-1 guard out of Chesterfield, Mo. and Marquette High School. Prunty ended his career at Marquette top 15 in school history in both three-pointers made and three-point percentage. He also was the recipient of the Heart of the Mustang Award.
Coach Delp on Prunty: Jack is a sharp shooting guard with the type of guile you need at our level. As he continues to mature and develops his game, the gravity his shooting creates will create even easier opportunities for him and his teammates, and he'll impact the game in a myriad of ways.
Hayden Parcel is a 6-0 guard out of Casey, Ill. and Casey-Westfield High School, where he competed in basketball, baseball, and track & field. During his career on the court, he has racked up several accolades, including CW Warrior Basketball Mr. Defense twice and MVP, two-time Little Illini All-Conference selections, WTWO Athlete of the Week, and two All-State honors. He tallied 1,100 points while at Casey-Westfield.
Coach Delp on Parcel: Hayden is a dynamic, multi-sport athlete, who craves the physicality the CCIW is known for and will not back down from the pressure of high level Division III basketball. Brother of junior Jackson Parcel, he won't back down from anything and his best basketball is only ahead of him here at Augustana.
Ben Jurzak is a 5-11 guard from Algonquin, Ill. and Jacobs High School, where he was a four-year varsity player and three-year starter. Jurzak was a team captain for two years and made All-Conference twice to go along with being a two-time First Team All-Area selection. He finished with 1,369 career points, good for sixth-most all-time at Jacobs, and owns the school record for both career three-pointers (240) and single-season free throw percentage (91.7 percent). He graduated Summa Cum Laude and was a member of the National Honors Society.
Coach Delp on Jurzak: Ben is a high level shot maker, who found a way to remain effective as the attention he saw from opposing defenses grew last season. A tenacious worker, he has developed in every way since I met him first as a junior, and I can't wait to see him continue to grow with us at Augustana. He will stretch defenses, pressure offenses, and add to our culture.
Caden Workman is a 6-5 forward from Crestwood, Ill. and Brother Rice High School. He was a two-time CCL All-Conference selection, two-time Defensive Player of the Year, and was a team captain. He was a part of a 62-11 record during his time at Brother Rice and the team was the 3A runner-up in 2025. Academically, Workman was Honor Roll all four years and a high honors graduate. He earned the Shaun Jacob Scholarship four years and the Be Exceptional academic award four years as well.
Coach Delp on Workman: Caden is fresh off a state runner-up finish with Brother Rice in last years' 4A Illinois State Finals, and brings a competitive fire, selfless nature, and versatile style of play that meshes with our values. Playing out of position for the entirety of his senior season, because his team needed him to, I'm excited to see him back to on the wing next year.
Mathias Gbeblewu is a 6-4 guard from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and The Kiski School. He was a part of the Metro City championship team in 20211-22 and the 2022-23 School Provincial finalist squad. Gbeblewu was a member of the Honor Roll twice.
Coach Delp on Gbeblewu: Mathias joins us from Kiski Prep School in Pennsylvania, by way of Edmonton, Canada, and brings a tremendous work ethic with him. As he continues developing off the court and adjusts to the physicality of college basketball, his length and athleticism could make him a plus defender and rebounder, while becoming more efficient offensively.
Cole Beinborn is a 6-4 wing player out of Bettendorf, Iowa and Pleasant Valley High School. During his time at Pleasant Valley, he was a part of great team success as a member of the 2023 state semifinalist squad. He also earned All-Conference Honorable Mention with the Spartans.
Coach Delp on Beinborn: I've been working with Cole since he was a second grader and cannot wait to continue that work now that he is a Viking. I already knew, but watching him work with our youth campers this summer only cemented my belief in him as a young man. When you combine the toughness he plays with and the consistency he works with, the sky's the limit for him.
Andrija Ivanovic is a 6-7 forward out of Berane, Montenegro and Miami Prep School down in Florida.
Coach Delp on Ivanovic: Andrija comes to us from Montenegro, but spent last year at ABF Academy in Miami, FL and if his film is any indication, he may have found a way to run from one place to the next. He has a motor that doesn't stop, and looks to prioritize defending, rebounding, and running. His progress will be fun to track.
Philip Postnikov is a 6-8 forward out of Saint Petersburg, Russia and the American Institute Allied With Thornton Academy. Postnikov helped lead his team to a third-place finish at the Serbian National Tournament and owns a high level of versatility that allows him to play at multiple positions.
Coach Delp on Postnikov: Philip is a versatile big man, who blends strong footwork in the paint with range from the perimeter and flexibility as a defender. As he acclimates himself to living abroad, adjusts to college level basketball, and continues working on himself, look for Philip to make big strides during his time as a Viking.
