ROCK ISLAND -- Former Augustana Vikings men's basketball student-athlete, Daniel Carr, has signed a contract to play professionally for the Caledonia Gladiators in Scotland.
Carr played for the Vikings from 2019-2023 before finishing out his eligibility with Rockhurst, a Division II school in Kansas City this past season. During his time at Augie, Carr averaged a double double for his career with 13.0 points per game and 10.2 rebounds. He shot 47 percent from the field and 36 percent from behind the three-point line. Last season with Rockhurst, Carr put up 9.4 points and 9.3 rebounds per outing.
The 6-foot-9 Carr ended his career with the Vikings sixth all-time in rebounds with 786 and sits third in the record books in rebounds per game. His 24 rebounds vs. Carthage in 2022 are tied for the fourth most-ever in program history and his 13.4 rebounds per game average that season is tied for an Augustana single-season high. The two-time All-CCIW selection was a CSC Academic All-American in 2022-23.
Carr will begin his career with the Gladiators this September to kick off the Super League Basketball.
