GREENWOOD, Ind. -- Two members of the Augustana Vikings softball team have been named to the CSC Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday morning.
Emma Evans and
Mikaylin Hofer were among those recognized.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Evans, a junior from Farmington, Ill., is a Kinesiology (Pre-PT) & Communication double major at Augustana. She started in all 38 games she appeared in this season and was a First Team All-CCIW selection at third base. Evans ended the year with a .314 batting average and had 11 extra-base hits in 2025, including two home runs and two triples.
Hofer, a sophomore from Taylor Ridge, Ill., appeared in 20 games as a pitcher, starting 18 of them, and five others in the battling lineup. She finished the season with a 3.30 ERA and a 10-7 record, striking out 52 and allowing just three home runs. Hofer was the CCIW's RESPECT Award winner for Augustana.
