KENOSHA, Wis. -- The Augustana Vikings men's volleyball team will return to the home of the No. 6 Carthage Firebirds on Wednesday, April 9 for the semifinal round of the CCIW tournament.
The Vikings finished the regular season with an overall record of 12-13 and 2-8 in conference play to earn the No. 4 seed in the upcoming CCIW Tournament. The team returns to action after falling to the Firebirds in four sets on Saturday. Ryan Huntington led the team with 12 kills, while Colin Schaefer notched 35 assists and Max Sellers and Zach Moreano had 11 digs apiece. Sellers and Ben Schultz were named to the 2025 CCIW All-Conference team on Tuesday.
Carthage holds a 20-3 overall record and sits at 9-1 in conference play to earn the No. 1 seed in the CCIW Tournament. In the win over Augie on Saturday, the Firebirds hit .350 percent with Owen Otto leading the team with 17 kills and four service aces. Ryan Morey notched 28 assists and Zack Noland had 13 digs. Carthage owns an 11-1 home record and holds a 16-0 all-time series record over the Vikings.
This is the second consecutive time that these two teams will square off in the semifinals of the tournament with the Firebirds securing the 3-1 victory a season ago.
