BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- For the second time this season, all three CWPA weekly awards were won by the Augustana Vikings women's water polo team. Charlotte Newport was crowned the league's Player of the Week, Susan Palmentera-Reid was named Defensive Player of the Week, and Emma Blezien was awarded the Rookie of the Week honor.

At the Claremont Convergence tournament this past weekend, the Vikings went 3-1 with two wins over ranked opponents. Newport finished the four-game weekend with seven total goals, five assists, five drawn exclusions, and five steals. She had her most complete game of the weekend in the finale, a 9-7 over time win at No. 8 Occidental, where she posted four goals and five steals. She posted goals, assists, and drawn exclusions in all four contests.

Palmenera-Reid played in two of the four games over the weekend, both of which were Augustana's wins over ranked teams. In the 9-8 victory over No. 5 La Verne, Palmentera-Reid saved nine shots and added four steals and three assists. In the win over Occidental, she had 12 saves and a steal.

Blezien concluded the trip to California with three goals, two assists, three drawn esclusions, and a pair of steals. In the Vikings' win at La Verne, she contributed two goals and two assists.
