ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Augustana Vikings women's tennis team was defeated in its final contest in Florida on Thursday, falling to the Luther Norse by a score of 6-1.
Luther grabbed all three doubles contests for the early 1-0 lead heading into singles. The Norse found victory in straight sets in No. 3-6 positions, but the Vikings claimed a point at the No. 1 spot as
Hannah Colbert defeated her opponent by a final of 6-2, 6-2.
Maripaz Ramirez bounced back from first-set loss with a 7-5 win in the second, but dropped the tiebreaker at No. 2 by a close 11-9 score.
With the loss, Augustana falls to 4-10 on the season. The team will be back in action April 6 at Lake Forest.
