ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The Augustana Vikings men's tennis team fell to the No. 12 ranked Wash U Bears on Sunday by a score of 7-0.
The Bears grabbed the early advantage with wins in two of the three doubles matches.
Santiago Diaz and
Aingeru Garcia won the contest at the No. 2 position for the Vikings, but Wash U took No. 1 and No. 3 to bring a 1-0 lead into singles.
All six singles matches went in favor of the Bears. Diaz won his first set at the No. 5 slot, but eventually fell in a third-set tiebreaker.
With the loss, Augie drops to 6-3 on the year. The team will be back in action March 15 at Illinois Tech.
