LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings men's tennis team picked up a 6-1 road victory over the Lake Forest Foresters on Saturday to earn its fourth straight win.

Arthur Hermange and
David Larraga earned a 6-4 decision at the No. 1 position, while the Foresters earned a 7-5 victory at No. 2. The deciding match went in favor of the Vikings after
Timothee Philip and
Nicolas Navarro squeaked out a 7-6 (7-1) triumph at the No. 3 spot. Augustana lead 1-0 heading into singles.
The Vikings won all but one of the singles contests, beginning with Hermange's 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 1.
Santiago Diaz made quick work of his opponent at No. 6, picking up a flawless 6-0, 6-0 win, while
Saman Rezaeyan also cruised to a 6-2, 6-3 victory at No. 5. Philip was the other Viking to win in straight sets at No. 4, taking down his opponent with a 6-3, 6-4 final. Larraga earned a hard-fought three-set win at No. 3, taking the third-set tiebreaker by a score of 10-4.
With the victory, Augustana improves to 5-1 on the year. The team will be back in action tomorrow at Kalamazoo.
