ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings have announced their full 2026 softball schedule, highlighted by a 12-game Florida trip, six home dates at Carver Field, and a competitive CCIW slate stretching from early April through the season's final week. The new campaign begins with a home-opening doubleheader before the Vikings head south for the Spring Break stretch in Clermont, Fla.
Augustana opens the season on Thursday, March 19, welcoming Buena Vista to Carver Field for a pair of games. The Vikings then shift into an intensive run of competition as they fly to Florida for the PFX Spring Games.
The Florida trip begins on Sunday, March 22, with matchups against DePauw at 10 a.m. and George Fox at 2:30 p.m. at the Legends Way Ballfields. Action continues the next morning as the Vikings face Kalamazoo at 10 a.m. and UW-Oshkosh at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, March 23. Augustana's third day in Clermont features a single contest against Carleton at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24, before concluding the week with a challenging four-game stretch. The Vikings take on Middlebury on Thursday, March 26, at 10 a.m., followed by Colby at 12:15 p.m. They continue the next day with a Friday morning matchup against North Central (Minn.) at 10 a.m. on March 27 and wrap up the trip with a Saturday doubleheader against St. Lawrence on March 28.
The Vikings return to the Midwest to close out March on the road, traveling to Cedar Rapids for a two-game set at Coe on Tuesday, March 31.
Conference play begins in early April as Augustana hosts Millikin for a doubleheader on Friday, April 3, followed by another home doubleheader against Elmhurst on Saturday, April 4. The Vikings then head to Wisconsin for a midweek matchup at UW-Whitewater on Wednesday, April 8, before returning home to welcome Illinois Wesleyan on Friday, April 10.
Augustana travels to non-conference Dubuque on Thursday, April 16, then resumes conference play versus Carthage on Saturday, April 18, and Carroll on Sunday, April 19. Non-conference play resumes at Grinnell on Tuesday, April 21, before the Vikings continue league action at Wheaton on Friday, April 24, and North Park on Sunday, April 26. The Vikings return home for their final regular-season conference appearance on Wednesday, April 29, hosting North Central.
Augustana closes out the season on Sunday, May 3, when they host Simpson for a home doubleheader, then head to Waverly, Iowa, for a Monday evening doubleheader at Wartburg on May 4.Â
