WHEATON, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings women's tennis team fell to the Wheaton Thunder on Saturday by a score of 6-1.

In doubles play, Natasha Gauerke and Maitreyi Shrikhande defeated their opponents in the No. 3 spot by a score of 6-3. 

In singles action, Hannah Colbert was victorious in the No. 1 spot with scores of 6-4 and 7-5. Maripaz Ramirez collected a win in the No. 2 spot in the second set with a score of 7-6 to force three sets. Anna-Maria defeated her opponent at No. 3 by a score of 6-4, and Colleen Larry won 7-6 at No. 4 to force extra sets. 

With the loss, Augie moves to 3-1 on the season and will be back in action on Oct. 5 to battle North Central.
