NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Colin Schaefer and Max Sellers of the Augustana Vikings men's volleyball team have been named the CCIW Men's Volleyball Student-Athletes of the Week, the conference announced Monday. 

Schaefer and Sellers earned this honor after their performance in matchups against UW-Stevens Point, Benedictine, Greenville, and Aurora this past week.

Schaefer was named the men's volleyball setter of the week after collecting 126 assists. The sophomore secured a season-high of 43 assists in the team's win against UW-Stevens Point, along with two service aces, 10 digs, and two blocks. Against Benedictine, Schaefer obtained 26 assists, 17 assists versus Greenville, and 40 assists along with 14 digs in the matchup against Aurora. For the week, Schaefer averaged 9.0 assists per set and 2.6 assists.

Sellers was named the men's volleyball defensive player of the week after notching 44 digs and 17 assists. The fifth-year secured a season-high of 18 digs against Aurora and seven assists versus UW-Stevens Point. Against Benedictine and Greenville, Sellers collected seven digs and 12 in the battle against UW-Stevens Point. For the week, Sellers averaged 3.1 digs per set.
