Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men’s soccer falls to No. 18 North Park

CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings men's soccer team dropped its conference opener against the No. 18 North Park Vikings on Saturday by a score of 3-0.

The home team grabbed the early advantage 11 minutes into the game before Jimmie Kucaba, Rayane Haidi, and Daniels Vasiljevs collected shots for Augustana. Both teams remained scoreless to make a 1-0 score after 45 minutes of play. North Park held a small advantage in shots at 5-3 after one half of action.

Returning to the field, North Park tallied two more early in the second to create a 3-0 game. Augustana did not attempt a shot in the second half as the game ended in a 3-0 score.

Benjamin Samuelson notched two saves in his 34 minutes in goal. 

With the loss, Augie moves to 3-2-1 on the season and 0-1 in conference play. The Vikings will be back in action on October 5 for their CCIW home opener against Carroll.
