ROCK ISLAND -- The Augustana Vikings women's tennis team cruised to a 7-0 win over the Elmhurst Bluejays on Tuesday to secure its third straight victory overall.

The Vikings swept all three doubles matches, earning wins at No. 1 fom Hannah Colbert/Colleen Larry, No. 2 from Maitreyi Shrikhande/Natasha Gauerke, and No. 3 from Hattie Timerman/Maddy Harned to bring a 1-0 team lead into singles play.

Augie dropped just one game across all six matches in singles, with Colbert, Anna-Maria Huebel, Larry, Shrikhande, and Harned all grabbing 6-0, 6-0 decisions. Gauerke defeated her opponent 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 4 spot to round out the near-perfect showing in singles and secure the 7-0 triumph.

With the result, the Vikings earned their third consecutive victory by a 7-0 margin. Augie now sits at 3-1 on the season and will be back in action Sunday at home vs. North Central.
