ELMHURST, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings men's tennis team earned a sweep over the Elmhurst Bluejays on Saturday, winning 9-0 to secure its first conference win of the season.

Augie went 3-0 in doubles, highlighted by an 8-0 victory at No. 3 by Saman Rezaeyan and Nicolas Navarro. The team of Arthur Hermange and David Larraga won their match at No. 1 by a score of 8-4, while Timothee Philip and Gabriel Luna notched an 8-3 victory at No. 2 to help give the Vikings a 3-0 advantage heading into singles. 

All six singles contests went in favor of Augie. Luna at No. 3, Philip at No. 5, and Navarro at No. 6 all won in straight sets without dropping a game, while Rezaeyan nearly joined them with a a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 4. Hermange took down his opponent at No. 1 with a final of 6-1, 6-1, while Larraga completed the sweep with a triumph at No. 2. 

With the win, Augustana improves to 12-5 overall and 1-1 in the CCIW. The team will be back in action tomorrow at No. 27 ranked North Central
