MOLINE, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings baseball team returns home for a weekday non-conference battle against the Monmouth Fighting Scots on Tuesday, April 30. 

Augie owns a 20-15 overall record and 7-10 in conference play after winning the series against Wheaton 2-1 this past week. In their most recent game against Wheaton, Augustana won by a score of 11-8. The Vikings totaled 13 hits, with Dymitiri Kanellakis, Ethan Sosnowski, Colton Davis, and Charlie Bergin collecting two apiece, while Alex Simon batted three runs in. Adam Bendoraitis earned the win on the mound with six innings pitched and two strikeouts.

Monmouth sits at 15-17 on the season and returns to action after falling to Beloit on Saturday by a score of 11-0. The Scots totaled three hits, with three individuals collecting one. Monmouth owns a 3-7 away record, with their last matchup resulting in an 11-4 win against Cornell on April 15. 

The Vikings hold a 53-34 all-time record over the Scots, with their last meeting concluding in an 8-7 victory for Augie on May 2, 2023. Four individuals had two hits apiece for Augie, while Alec McGinnis batted three runs in.
