ROCK ISLAND -- The Augustana Vikings women's tennis team earned a Senior Day win on Friday at Lincoln Park, defeating the visiting Central Dutch by a score of 6-3.

Augustana claimed two of three doubles matches for the early advantage, beginning with an 8-2 win at No. 1 from Caitlyn Hanulikova and Hannah Colbert. Central took the match at No. 2, but the Vikings snagged an 8-6 victory at No. 3 from Mia Reese and Natasha Gauerke to bring a 2-1 lead for Augie into singles.

The Vikings were victorious in four singles matches to earn the 6-3 team win. Hanulikova notched a 6-0, 7-5 win at No. 1 to complete her 2-0 day, while Colbert won at No. 2 with consecutive 6-2 sets. At No. 4, Gauerke also saw a perfect opening set before notching a 6-2 second to wrap up the victory, while Hattie Timerman rounded out the success in singles with a 6-4, 6-3 triumph at No. 5. 

With the win, Augustana improves to 9-11 on the year. The team will be back in action on April 18 for an exhibition against St. Ambrose.
