CHICAGO, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings men's volleyball team will hit the road on Saturday, March 9 for their first conference away match this season against the North Park Vikings. 

The Vikings sit at 14-2 on the season and 1-1 in conference play after defeating Illinois Wesleyan 3-1 on Wednesday. Augie ran away with the first set by a score of 25-qw before closing out a close second set with three of the final four points to earn a 26-24 victory. The Titans answered with a 25-21 win in the third set, but the Vikings had a strong start in the fourth with a 7-1 run to find a six-point gap. Augie maintained its separation and fended off a late rally from the Titans to hang on for the three-point win.

North Park owns a 4-13 overall record and sits at 0-3 in conference play. The Vikings enter the contest after a 3-1 loss against No. 5 Loras on Wednesday. North Park hit .142 as a team, while their opponent obtained .358. Vicente Cabrera led with 10 kills, while Teddy Gedville had 23 assists and Kaleb Partick had 16 digs. The Vikings have a 2-7 home record this season, with their last matchup being the loss against No. 5 Loras. 

Augie holds a 6-3 all-time record over North Park, with Augustana conquering a 3-1 victory in their last matchup on April 5, 2023. Bolen led with 13 kills, while Sean Carlson had 10. Matthew Degnan had 38 assists and Max Sellars secured 19 digs.
