NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The Augustana Vikings women's soccer team was defeated on the road on Wednesday, falling 3-0 to the North Central Cardinals.

The home team got out to a fast start with a goal just 66 seconds into the contest before adding its second of the half in the 29th minute. The Cardinals out-shot the Vikings 13-1 through the first 45 minutes, with the lone attempt for Augie coming from Alyssa Mowry in the 33rd. The look by Mowry was the team's lone shot on target in the game. North Central led 2-0 at half.

In the second, the Cardinals added one more to their total in the 78th minute to complete the 3-0 victory. Liesl Whitener added a shot in the second half for Augie. Sara Schinker finished with a career-high 13 saves in net.

With the loss, Augustana drops to 7-3-2 on the season and 1-2 in the CCIW. The team will remain on the road for its next game this Saturday at Wheaton.
